Provo Craft Announces World Launch of Cricut Mini™ on HSN
Provo Craft yesterday announced the worldwide launch of its latest cutting machine, The Cricut Mini™ (pictured at left), which will be presented on HSN and hsn.com throughout the day today, with a final TV presentation during the 10 p.m. EST hour.  The device enables crafters to cut paper, vinyl, fabric and other materials in designs that can be accessed online at the Cricut(R) artwork library.  In the release, Denise Bruhns, vice president of consumer insights for Provo Craft, said, "We're partnering with HSN to bring Cricut(R) to a wide range of people who want to express their creativity, and we're helping them do that in ways they may never have thought possible."

Joining Stewart during her appearances will be Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s crafting expert Alex Perruzzi.  Together, they will demonstrate Provo Craft’s Cricut cake decorating and cutting machine, along with key items from the Martha Stewart Crafts line.  These will include the Martha Stewart Crafts Punch and Stamp Kit, Large Circle Cutter, a 24-pk Iridescent Glitter Kit, the Scoreboard Kit, Essential Tool Kit, Essential Glitter Kit, and the Essential Punch Kit.  HSN Press Release Jul. 14, 2010

Once again, HSN has found the sweet spot where crafters, bakers and gadget-lovers meet.   Provo Craft will launch its new electronic cutter — specifically designed for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies and confections — on the network this month.  Cricut Cake will be available for sale on hsn.com beginning April 12, with an official launch on HSN on April 14, 2010 at 12:01 AM (ET).  Describing the new product, Nancy Caplan, svp of merchandising, employs the alliteration “decorative device,” and referring to its audience, “culinary crafters.”  I like those, but let’s add “confectionary crafters,” too.  HSN Press Release Apr. 5, 2010
