The results are in, and the M-Commerce site response time speed winner is QVC … at least on four popular handheld devices. Against heavy-hitting competition like Dell and Sears, m.QVC.com posted the fastest response times on the iPhone (1.74 seconds), Sprint’s HTC Hero (1.90 seconds), T-Mobile’s HTC Dream (3.59 seconds) and Verizon’s Droid (1.97 seconds). QVC today announced plans to launch mobile shopping applications for Android™ and BlackBerry® smartphones, as well as a new and improved version of its iPhone® application — all within the coming weeks. The new apps will give users the ability to view customer ratings and reviews, and to filter search results by category. HSN’s new mobile shopping application for the iPod and iPhone will enable users to access the network’s live programming, its library of original videos, Today’s Special and Items Recently Aired segments, plus featured hosts and designers.
