QVC’s Mike George to Ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell Friday Morning

QVC’s president and ceo will take the opportunity to promote the network’s Super Saturday Live remote broadcast from the Hamptons on Long Island’s east end, which will begin July 31 at 2 PM ET.  This two-hour “designer charity sale” will feature premier fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and home pieces at 50% off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price with net proceeds benefiting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).  Dr. Peter Dottino, a member of the OCRF Board Executive Committee, will Mike George at the ringing of the NASDAQ Opening Bell.  QVC Press Release Jul. 29, 2010

HSN to Give Away 62 Trips to Two-Day Las Vegas Remote Broadcast in August

HSN is partnering with casino operator Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. on a summer-long promotion in which the retailer will give away 62 trips to Las Vegas for a 2-day, celebrity-filled live broadcast.  The “HSN Live In Vegas” program will be broadcast Aug. 14-15 from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and is expected to include celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, model and designer Molly Sims and HSN inventing juggernaut Joy Mangano.  The promotion will also feature opportunities for Harrah’s customers to win HSN gift cards starting June 1.  NewsOK/The Oklahoman HSN Press Release May 21, 2010
