The stubby, sawed-off Passback Football has been marketed to football coaches throughout the United States as a skills training aid for the past two years. When thrown at a wall, it bounces right back. Now its maker, First Base Sports Group, is getting into the really big game — direct-to-consumer sales on QVC. Official and junior size versions of the product are set to make their premiere on Tuesday, June 22 at 7:00 a.m. ET. The first Chuck Woolery Outdoors programs, which aired last weekend on ShopNBC, have apparently met or exceeded the retailer’s expectations. A representative of the network tells PAS that programmers are working to schedule Woolery’s next appearance by mid-July.
