“The Girls” may not be steppin’ out for sixteen-dollar Cosmos quite so often nowadays, but that doesn’t mean that they’re doing without new shoes. Heavens no! Among the reasons cited by retailers is that shoppers consider shoes a necessity, instead of an indulgence, and that “…the cost-per-wear of a pair of shoes is far lower than that of a dress or suit.” The New York Times Nov. 5, 2009
